There's a group of sailors, Lake Michigan I think, that joined forces and built J-24s for racing. That's a 24 ft. fixed keel boat, a class racer i.e. they're all the same. Everyone kicked in money, showed up every weekend and at the end 14 or 15 boats were built. A lottery was held to see who got what boat, no one knew until the end so your efforts were evenly displaced on each boat.
With that story in mind.... Why not make a big buck, produce 15 or so wooden enzos and start your own class racing?
Go have a few beers and it will look easier.
