Agreed. Aside from a real racing wheel, this was the best small substitute I've ever found. The only drawback was the fact that brakes and gas were on the same trigger axis; you couldn't left-foot(finger?) brake with it.

In reply to Tom Heath: I bought one of those a few years ago and could never master it. However, that one has more bells and whistles than mine did. You were supposed to be able to adjust the steering sensitivity but I never could get it to work. The steering was way too slow.

I feel like it might get lost on the last page, so I figured I'd mention it again, the E3 trailer for Forza 4 included a shot of cars moving the tires during the high speed section of track on the Top Gear UK test track...

Who cares what a car magazine says when you can walk around the Ferrari 458 Italia yourself, pop the hood, slip inside, shut the door, hear Jeremy Clarkson talk about it and then drive it yourself against your friend.

I put more stock in this magazine's opinions of a car than I do in a manufacturer-approved simulation of the car.

I have the MS wheel. Its not super awesome like some of the PS3/PC wheels, but it works, and after using it for years, I cant go back to a controller for my driving games.

I dont even think I could even accept the "wheel" that fastEddie posted on page 2.

since my 360 is currently broken, I think I will build a new cockpit for my wheel this summer that isnt such a huge eyesore, so its ready for Forza 4 in the fall. Epic Wheel Time.

Gota better idea. The newest system is out and gameplay is the same. C L and Xbox don't play nice. May add well bend over and get red ringed.

Gamestop sells units that are less likely to red ring OR get an arcade and a used hard drive. Justa good idea. There have been enough posts about people getting boned today.

I have heard that the conveter doesn't support full force feedback and the shifter doesn't work properly either...

I tlooks like there are some options on the horizon though

Look at the date of manufacture if you decided to buy a used console. It is listed with the serial number on the back of the console. MS only covers the RROD repair if the console is less than 3 years old.

Go figure my 360 Elite did not RROD until 2 weeks past the 3 year old date.

As far as wheels.....Fanatec makes a fancy wheel for the 360, but its expensive, and still not as good as the G25/G27 according to reviews

The fanatec wheel also works on the PS3 and the PC and its upgradeable with a better shifter and load cell pedals. One of those is on the list for me, I will be selling my M$ wheel and my Logitech DFGT wheel.

I would love to get a fanatec wheel but they are expensive $$$ I could go racing in real life for the price of that hardware.

Here ya go, Fried!

"2) Online fun

Online racing will be more intense Forza Motorsport 4. Don’t believe me? How about 16-player racers online? How about the return of user-hosted-public lobbies? How about a regular cadence of new hoppers and time trials designed to keep even the most skilled driver dancing on the footpedals? All that, plus brand-new game modes designed for maximum online fun. You don’t have to play online in Forza 4 to enjoy the game… but once you go online you may never want to come back."

and http://jalopnik.com/5808738/how-forza-motorsport-4-will-change-car-culture-forever

"Physics Engine (Kick the tires and light the fires!): Not only has Turn 10 rebuilt the physics engine from scratch, they've also tried to address one of the most glaring problems with Forza 3, the tires. That's why, for enthusiasts anyway, the most important addition to the game is going to be the tire physics. Thanks to a partnership with Pirelli, Turn 10 has completely redone the modeling for tire dynamics. The tire company let them inside their testing system to give the game a soup-to-nuts data download and allow them to directly input it into the game.

That means that when you turn off all the nanny systems, and you're in a car fitted with a set of racing slicks, and you push down the accelerator a touch too hard, you'll slip and slide in the most realistic way I've ever experienced. I found out embarrassingly first-hand in a simulator the perils of such a setup on a ham-fisted and lead-footed auto journalist.

But it's so brilliantly realistic you can't not be excited at the prospect of turning off the nanny systems and letting loose some tire-shredding burnouts on a digital skidpad. Or, in my case, skidding into walls on an all-new track that Forza tried to build to be the best driving road on Earth. Set in the Swiss Alps with three to five different ribbons, it's certainly intimidating. It's also beautiful to look at."

The return of user hosted lobbies? Now I'm interested. I wonder how much control you'll have over the environment? And I'm not so keen of using Kinect to drive, but that thing where it lets you look ahead sounds promising. I'm constantly trying to see through the A-pillar in 3.

There's two totally different modes to Kinect for FM4. One where all you do is steer, and the computer handles the braking and gas, and the other, where all it does is follow head tracking while you use the controller/wheel.

I broke down and got a console, Forza 2 and Forza 3 to learn Sebring. My suggestion? The tower turn needs a water tower! If it is in the game, I haven't noticed it.

Tower turn refers to the control tower for the airport.

You can see it better in my video from the club course.

It is easy to see in your video around 0:22, and that's what I was expecting. (Obviously, my memory was flawed WRT the type of tower.) When I did parade/touring laps there, a Chin instructor rode along with me and pointed out some things I should look for and do if I ever got to do a track day there, and I remembered that after Cunningham I should look for the tower.

In Forza, that tower is less prominent....so much so that I thought it didn't exist. After watching your video, though, I did forza again, and the tower is there, but it is hard to see.
