So, I have a ton of cars. I have crazy money on the game. I can't tune them to save my life. Anyone care to help? I can send you cars, whatever. maybe hook a brotha up with a few tuning setups? I can gift you the car, you tune it, and then I'll send you whatever you want.
I know this is now buried in the Forza thread, but I used the ForzaDroid app for my smartphone to get close....
Yeah, I've tried some of the online tuners and all, really haven't had any luck. Maybe it's me? LOL When I try to find a setup online on the Forza storefront, all I get is drift setups for every-damn-thing. UGH!!!
I just downloaded Forzadroid on my phone, I'll try it tonight and see if it helps. I'd been using some old ass Excell based one from Forza 2 or 3...
I use an android tuner.... Let me see... Forza Tune 4. It does well, but I do a little tweaking afterwards. One thing that is problematic would be over powering a car. Makes it hard to tune up to spec.
I think the problem with most "great tunes" (and online guides to tuning) is that they're created from each individual's POV as far as driving style goes. I've always thought that tuning IRL has just as much to do with what makes a driver comfortable within their own style as it does with the basic physics of roadholding.
I'm seeing something different in Forza. Seems like since there's no real life financial or health "penalty" for smacking the walls a few times, people get the "hot" setup and then just learn to drive differently. I know professionals can change their driving styles based upon the car IRL, but it seems like even the 'Club' level driver can do that in Forza..because testing is by & large unlimited. Folks with enough time to spend on it can just keep bashing the walls until they get the hang of it.
I got the Boss 302 and put a NASCAR engine in it and made it AWD just for S&G. Need to tune it so it's actually driveable...

Now, you know I tune my Escorts to my spec. You know. You've driven them. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/evil-18.png)

That's actually a perfect example! I had to 'unlearn what I had learned' to drive it without being the Pinball Wizard. OTOH, it was hella faster after I actually did..
Another would be that tune The Bootsy made for the Spec RX-7 series. I never got the hang of it because I didn't test enough, but there were 4 or 5 guys who were astonished at how much faster it was after they'd learned how to adjust to it.

I was one of those that loved bootsy's tune in the IT7 series although it looked weird on paper.
Is anyone doing any series anymore Fried?

I thought I saw on the other thread that Lainford or racerfink were working on something, but everything seems to be on hold for the holidays. I've seen some of the guys online, but it ends up being just the couple of us running around.
I just keep fiddling with things until I hit an "Ah-HAH!" moment. Now I have a base tune for RWD, AWD and FWD. Make adjustments and test, test, test. Then get in a lobby and see how it stacks up!....just don't stack everyone else up LOL!
Somebody sent me a tune for the 250 California....it's a killer tune!
You think I can drive the d@mn thing? hell no....![](/media/img/icons/smilies/whatthe-18.png)
Unrelated(?) Sorry I dropped off the bspec thing. Family stuff, combined with frustration from getting punted a bunch, yada yada. I owe somebody a trophy. racerfink? bootsy? I know there were a couple events where nobody kept track of the podium.

I can think of a punter you didn't get along with. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/laugh-18.png)
The Bump and Rebound have a LOT to do with how a car feels. You'd be suprised at how much playing with the Rebound (going up on the setting) will settle a car down. Too much will make the car not want to turn though, so finding the happy spot is important.

Find me through frieds friends......im prolly the only one there with "sho" in the gamertag. I might be able to work on something that'll work. That said, Fried needs a mic in a bad way though.....lol

Oh, yeah. I had a mic..but it belonged to our boarder, and it left when he did a year and a half ago. I bought a cheap Mad Katz thing at the Gamestop, it died sometime last November or so. I'll have another one, but it's looking like it won't be until half-way through January ATM. Trust me, dude..nobody loves being able to talk as much as I do. Ask anyone who ran with me back when I had a mic. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/laugh-18.png)
I've got a lot of tunes on my storefront and will make custom ones for you, as well. My Gamer tag is "Dusty Duster." Shoot me a PM on here or on XBOX if you want me to make a "custom" tune for you.
FYI, some of my tunes have hundreds of downloads.

Did we get a final score?
Sky, that reminds me, I need to kick on Forza and Horizon to see how my downloads are going. I specialized in Escort tuning. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/wink-18.png)

Gonna friend request you. My gamertag is the same as my name on here.

You're already my friend on there I think....
I was playing last night with ForzaDroid and tuning, man, it's lots better than that old tuner I had. Makes a huge difference in the cars. Maybe I should start working with this a little more rather than just buying and building and painting the cars...
I can make just about any car handle well, except for luxo-barges. Bentleys and Veyrons handle like pigs no matter what you do.

Download my SRT-4 and Civic Si tunes as a preview. You'll never guess those cars are FWD.
every car I tune always end up being a drift car, I think I just like tail happy cars when racing the computer.

Glad it works well. Use it as a tool and then tweak on your own. Also, I have a free tune in my shop, I think. It's pretty popular. Got a couple hundred downloads and a good rating. Check it out. It grips.
