I’d call that more awesome than weird. It’s maybe somewhere between the Damned and the Melvins.
The voice sounds familiar but I just can’t place it. In Walk Like an Egyptian, it’s like a crooning goth. It’s not Dave Vanian but it sometimes sounds oddly familiar.

Not sure who the actual voice is, but the project is from Brian Borcherdt if you want more stuff in that vein.
This album is on semi-regular rotation in my shop. I listened to it last night and did consider posting a different song in the what are you listening to thread.
The Great Bob Scott killing it on drums.
The northern boys, the chats and ginger root are gonna get more attention. Good stuff. Wesley willis is classic.
heres kinda weird but super good stuff, sunset rollercoaster
I got plenty of weird, but nothing as amazing as the OP. I'm about halfway through it and I cannot stop...

The only thing really weird about The Hu is that they are so thoroughly awesome.

Nothing that weird.
Back in the 1960's the Victrolas had 3 speeds: 78, 45, 16. We had 78 speed Alvin and the Chipmunk records. We slowed them down to 45, then 16 to see what it sounded like. Probably every 60's kid did this. 45 speed revealed Dave Seville talking slowly. 16 speed got us the drawn out voice and music.
