TL;DR: The companies listed below are scams that will take your money without delivering a car
Hi All,
My dad just forwarded me this press release from a scam company that is claiming to offer 200mph replicas of supercars for camry prices. (Rule of thumb: if it sounds too good to be true....) They're operating out of Panama, with shell companies in various places using business names and domain names designed to create false impressions; i.e. names like:
Topgeartvsho w.com
wikipediatopgea r.com
Topgearreproduction s.com
OverHaulin' TV Show
SR Foose Kits
supereplica s.com
allkitcar s.com
brabusmotor s.com (the real brabus is at brabus.com)
Chip Foose released a statement saying that he hasnothing to do with them. Kit Car has a warning that they are fraudulent
Here are the videos that Chip Foose was complaining about which tried to create the impression that they were involved with him in some way.

I know that Panama is not exactly squeaky clean, but is there no way to shut these clowns down? Reading the ads, little things like bad grammar jump out at me. But I can see how some idiots with money and no sense could well be fooled.

No idea. It might help a small amount if some other people flagged their youtube videos for fraud. I did that to a few of them last night.
Read Foose's facebook post, paying attention to what he says about his sister. Then look at that youtube channel. You'll see why he's upset. These guys are scum.
They use photos of other company's kit cars, and even video of the real cars that was shot in dealerships, to pass off as their cars.

These are impressive. You'd think with skills like that you'd be able to make a highly competitive supercar that isn't a replica.

I don't think they actually MAKE any of them.

Probably true, but they definitely are taking money for them without delivering any cars to the customers

As an aside, you might want to put spaces in, or make ".com" "dot com" or something on those URLs so the GRM forum doesn't automatically linkify them. Right now you're just bumping their search rankings

Thanks for the idea. I just broke the links up with spaces
