Anybody have experience with this or similar service? I'm looking for a free cellular data plan with dongle for our T&S system. 500mb a month is more than enough.

With these guys you buy the dongle and then the first half gig is free. I will literally need this 1 day a month to publish live results from our autocross events. What's the GRM experience?

I used freedompop for on the road wifi during rallies. It works but at the time I think they were using Sprint's network so coverage was spotty. But it worked.

Yeah, I think they're still on Sprint. From Sprint's coverage map we should have pretty good 4G LTE coverage at any of our likely sites. Thanks!

Easily, and by a wide margin the poorest customer service experience I've had.

Customer support is almost nonexistent. There is a 45 minute hold time, and when you get someone, they'll read a cookie cutter answer and try to get off the phone. "Just turn your device off and then on, and it will work fine. If it does not, you can call back. Will there be anything else?"

The free service is overpriced, and you'll probably need the paid services, for an even greater premium.

To be avoided.

What handset, data and service are you using now?

I don't think you'll use much data to post numerical data at the event. I am assuming you are not trying to post live audio or video.

If it were me, I would just turn on the hotspot function of my android and pull from my regular bucket of data.

Yeah, I may go that route. I was just Hopi g to keep it separate from my personal stuff.

Used it for a kid. Hated the call quality

T-mobile has some free 200mb thing. Haven't tried it, so I can't provide any other input.
