Random-ass crime of the day.
In a statement, Foster Farms calls the random act of violence an "unconscionable act of animal cruelty."
Not unlike placing them on a conveyor belt and feeding them into a beheading machine on the way to the plucking thresher! (minus the delicious output though...)
In reply to Giant Purple Snorklewacker:
Having them live short and brutal lives just to be thrown away is waaaaaay worse having them live short and brutal lives in order to be eaten.

For me, sure. For the chickens... I'm not sure they make that distinction. It is high irony tosay the least when the chicken chopping mill complains about how some chickens got killed in a different way than they were about to be killed. Why not just say "shiny happy people cost us some bucks!"
I expect there will be a cow massacre very soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QackOxe64yM
berkeleying Japanese.
There has been an increase in chickens wandering into my yard and being annoying, so berkeley chickens.

do you live in downtown seattle? I saw a "lost chicken" poster the other day.
for what is worth.. Foster Farms does claim it was the first major U.S. poultry producer to earn the American Humane Certification.
Not sure where that Certification comes from.. but I guess they treat their chickens a little better than most places
Seriously whoever did this is disturbed. Nobody normal gets enjoyment out of killing a bunch of things for no reason other than the killing. Ugh.

I think that would be uncomfortable for the chickens, and illegal in some - but not all! - states.

For example a guillotine is more humane than draw-and-quartering.

They weren't choking the chickens, but they were beating the meat!

Well I dunno about you, but if I had to be killed I'd prefer a method far to the "humane" side of the spectrum.
