So how is the crew and the job so far?
So far things are great. The crew is fantastic - not the typical "lets see what this new guy can do" attitude, just friendly helpful guys. The first couple days were stressful; mostly because I was given a tough job. 66 Chevelle with terrible wiring and a bunch of hokey redneck engineering. Its a sexy car. A customer bought it and brought it to us to make it roadworthy.
So I have a pile of junk to work on and the customer thinks its the greatest thing since sliced bread, I'm under pretty intense scrutiny... but I'm loving it. I get to show off my talents and so far they're pretty happy with me.

Well, I'm sure you expected that. I know the proof will be in the wrenching, but I'm guessing when you start making some money, you'll be trolling CL for a used box
Five years as a millwright hauling hundreds and hundreds of pounds of 3/4 and 1 inch drive sockets around the nastiest parts of a dirty old glue factory and it just finished its first year of auto restoration work. The slides still work like new. This harbor freight box is the best bargain on the market. I would use them for kitchen cabinets if I could.
When I started to run out of room I didn't for a second consider taking a second mortgage out on the house for a Snap-on. I marched down and dropped the 179 for the side cab and am fine until I buy one for the other side.

Those two boxes would get you laughed out of a dealership or shop. I mean, the colors don't even match!! There's NO marketing on them at all, I mean, who would even know which NASCAR driver you prefer? I bet you didn't even spend 5-figures on the box to get a free plastic Snap-On mug did you!?!?
In case some weren't aware, that post was soo dripping with sarcasm my boxers are damp. While I've got Snap-On boxes, the tool box I added after I left the shop is not a Snap-On. For the non-pro, I would recommend something much cheaper. 90% of the functionality and durability for 20% of the price is a win.
