So the FIL was in a spending mood, so he took us kids shopping. He knew I needed shoes and so I ended up with a couple pairs.
First were a pair of New Balance. I like NB, they have always lasted the longest of all name brand shoes for me. These appealed to me because these are the US574, which are made in the US and the color combo.
The other set I got where specifically for cycling, I needed something with a thin toe because I have pedal clips and my gargantuan feet don't fit well with normal shoes. So, I found a pair of Onitsuka Tigers.
So far they are comfortable. Gotta break them in, but they are definitely nice.
Onitsuka Tigers are the E36 M3.
I got a pair of black leather Chuck Taylors last week without a white toe. They're extremely comfortable and nice enough to pass at work which was a huge plus.
New Balance are also one of the few that come in widths … my foot is VERY narrow … really hard to find shoes that I can't put both feet in one shoe

+1 my current favorite pair of shoes.
weird i also have a pair of reebok's in a very similar color combo as those new balances. the insole is literally memory foam which is cool.

I love my new balances. I think i bought another pair last night.
I got my first pair of new balance about six months ago bc they were tennis ball green and on clearance for like 40$. Holy crap they are the most comfortable sneakers I've ever had, they look like hell now all dirty and what have you, but they are not falling apart at all. I wish I would have bought 10 pairs and just held onto them
Also: Pumas makes a really nice Onitsuka Tiger alternative called the 76 Runner.
Hard to say which i prefer.
I am a shoe addict. Though I haven't bought any in the last year I don't think..
Cool! I just bought a pair of NB 410 that was on sale today. Was gonna buy a pair of Adidas too but it wasnt on sale so next time...
I'm not big on sneakers, but I did get a pair of Keen Austins today to replace a worn out pair of work shoes. Very comfortable so far, though they are a little strange looking. Comfort > Looks.

Me too. it took me forever just to settle on some work shoes.
Cool shoes. My casual shoes are an old school style like those.
I burn through at least 4 pair a year running so I've always got backups in the closet. Just got a new set of trail running shoes I'm having fun breaking in here in Utah.
