That'd be an easy one to make better... crop out most of the pavement below the car so that it's filling the bottom third of the image, and level the picture from left to right. Cool shot nonetheless!

Father's Day kayak rental with my daughter. I have a nice Nikon and a waterproof camera and a GoPro...and I end up taking this with the iPhone. The best camera is the one you have on you...

LOL no worries, easiest way is to just take the picture that way of course. Generally a photo looks a lot better if the subject isn't dead center (rule of thirds). Instead of centering the car in the frame, put it in the bottom third. Then make sure you aren't leaning when you take the pic.

i wasn't leaning, the earth is curved

It is amazing how simple photography rules like the rule of thirds can make such a huge difference in a photo

From the Gilmore Museum car show at the LA Farmers Market last weekend. I was in town for work and stumbled onto it completely by accident. This shot is untouched out of the camera. I liked the reflection of the palm trees in the chrome. 50mm, 1/4000, f2.8, iso 100.

Worked my butt off this weekend to pay for a refurb telephoto lens and played with it today in Kent Park. Snagged a 70-300 mm VR for $350.

Nikon D3100 with said lens, max zoom, aperture priority set at f/8 to improve sharpness. Focus isn't perfect, but that's what I get taking this from my car!

New day! My other favorite shot from yesterday's walk around the woods:

Same telephoto, but not strictly needed (I walked up to this one). f/8 manually set with exposure at -0.7, otherwise automagically set by the camera.

This was a new style I was playing with for a while. The room is pitch black and I illuminate what I want exposed with a flashlight. It's like painting with light. Camera NIKON CORPORATION NIKON D1H
