Now the front wheels are on...
The weather has stayed cool enough to work at the model bench a lot. Making up for lost time...Working on adding the tach cable, fuel vent/return hoses and instrument wire harness. Not sure how I will do the wiring, it looks surprisingly complex in photos. Also a real rant. Something Tamiya goofed as bad as Gunze Sangyo or Aurora would have. The axle half shafts were keyed to the rotoflex (guibo) 60 degrees off. Fixed by cutting the key off and gluing it in the proper orientation, but that is a big one for some modeler that is unfamiliar with the real car.
Another rant....Why do almost all kits omit the seat belts? Every car has them. For my Lotus I would like to replicate what was in the car in 1962, and the only reference pics I can find are how the car is currently run in historics. I think it only had a lap belt, but no photos are good enough to identify them.

Lots of variety for aftermarket seat belts. I have English and American in stock for 1/24 scale, and English for 1/32. This kit is 1/20 scale, and I have nothing and do not know what I need....
I wrapped up two cars over the weekend. The N2 Levin was a fun, simple build, except for the window trim which took me forever. I went and bought some Molotow Blackliner pens after doing that car, and man, those are awesome!
I also stripped the M3 that I botched in some brake fluid, and re-sprayed it more of a Camel Yellow since it is going sans decals. Far from perfect, but I really like how the interior turned out. I am calling it "test car" livery....lol
They look good Zack!
progress on the Monte
it always bugs me i always see this kit painted incorrectly... it is on the box. The area inside the rear window is supposed to be red!

Yeah they make permanent pens from .05mm all the way to a chisel tip. They are true black, and they are awesome for window frames and such. That is how I did the BMW and worked so much better than the Toyota. They also don't "set" immediately, so you can wipe off mistake with a wet q-tip if you are quick about it!

Y'all are killing it! Great work! Life keeps getting in my way so I haven't made any progress. Hopefully this week will be different.
Wow - these are coming along great!
I started (well, restarted, since I botched that last attempt and shelved it) my Beemax '86 Volvo 240 Turbo. I will post some pics here this week.
About to start the decals, and as it's a Touring Car, there are a ton. I haven't done a kit with more than just little decals for details - any pro tips to share?

I want to see lots of pics of the Volvo. I have not bought a kit in several years because of the 50 un-builts I have, but that one is calling me hard.
Finally worked on the Impala tonight. Got the body sanded, the engine built, and some of the chassis together.

Send me your address and I'll get them out asap.
Cut masking tape into strips the width of what you need for seat belts then paint them or use a marker.
Looking great everyone; The summer weather has my plastic models in hiding but it's fun watching everyone's progress here. I have a couple things in mind I want to get at once the weather sours. These threads are great motivation!
