I won the Buick Special last night... can i use that as my SBC car?

Think i'm level 19 A-spec and 18 B-spec now.

Probably going to finish the amateur races in both A and B and the rest of the seasonal events tonite.

The Buick special kicks some but. I got kicked out of an online Daytona Road Course race by using it. They wanted everyone to switch to classic muscle cars and that was all I had that would be competitive with the room host and his race modified camaro. I could just about hang on the infield and could pass him on the banking. He kicked me out of the room.

I'm having trouble just keeping the Cobra on the track for the first antique race. I need to mess with the suspension to nail down 750hp. Short wheelbase so it wants to understeer under throttle.

Found a good setup to win Indy every time with a ZR1 RM:

downforce 35/53 trans gearing 261 diff 10/20/10 ride height 0/0 spring rate 16.6/13.4 damper ext 9/7 damper comp 9/7 anti roll 3/5 camber 2.0/1.5 toe 0.0/-.85

tires racing soft/soft 905 hp

Great for grinding out cash and B-spec xp.

Notice the new remote races? They are all 20 minutes now, but the last one on the list is essentially SBC cars for two laps of the ring. Looks like the ringer car in that bunch is an AW11 MR2. Get your Bob in that one and get the cash.

I also ran classic muscle race at Laguna Seca. Turns out there is a Shelby Cobra 427 (with the top down) and an AC Cobra 427 S/C (top up). Lots of classic muscle otherwise.

There is also a Lemans race with Lemans type cars. Hard not to sit and watch these.

Dave, which antique race are you talking about?

Vintage race cars, old Rari's, Chapperals and the like.

My results are not the same, but I don't know that it still might be a better choice. I'm am going to have to spend a lot of time with gearing and changing my driving style to match.

I lose 7 HP, but gain 40 torques... but it becomes peaky as hell.

Weird. For two cars that supposedly have the same engine they sure made them act differntly to tuning in the game. My High RPM turbo curves look more like your mid-range ones, but shifted to the right more. HP peaks way over near redline. My Mid range turbo curves look more like your high rpm one.

Does the Mini have a 1275 or a 998 cc engine?

Didn't that version in the game have a special 1275?

The Buick just needs the sound to be complete but the Cobra can be used, you just have to know how to control it

I didn't notice anything last night in remote races, i'll have to check em out.

Oh and TJ! I entered a room that two other guys were doing the glitch, the first race, followed em out went to the spot, found out a trick, I just put crappy tires and no traction control and just keep the throttle at half and find the right groove and just keep the turning pinned haha It gets tireing after 25 minutes of doing it, 200 laps, but I got 1.4 million second time, I let the other guy do it, got 270,000.

And they patched the glitch this morning. Welcome to 1.08

I thought I saw 1.08 this morning. I heard there's also a new garage or maintenence part along with revised damage coming up.But I figured they would fix that glitch lol

It's like what one guy said, "goood, because then you guys can maybe focus on racing your other 600 cars, it's a driving game and hopefully you'll be able to run a race in the RIGHT direction and not wreck into us!!" hehe he got no further comments

Found a killer Veyron setup that eats up everything on the Daytona road course.

Here is how I spent my GT5 morning...

Chrome paints are a bit of an irritant for me. I don't really care about them, and would prefer to trade them for a color / car that I would want, but there are too many d-bags trading to deal with it. So I used them so I wouldn't have to think about them anymore.
