Oh boy! That MX5 race is going to be fun.

We had 3 wide for two corners!

I would have done very bad in the SBC, so I don't feel bad about missing that, but the MX5, make sure to get pics of that! It will be wild!!!

so guys... my fiance's work schedule for the next 2 weeks means our only time togethor during the week will be wednesday night...sooooo i may not make it. She says she doesn't mind watching me race (and it's not one of those test things, she actually does like it) but we might just do something together... don't guilt me too bad about this, the last time we did something together we cleaned and waxed one of my car's summer wheels that's sitting in my living room (only one left!), so it'll still likely be car related. Can you believe SHE is the one who suggested we do it?! totally a keeper.

You should see if you can make the MX5 at least. It should be great fun to race and watch. And you don't need any practice (no brakes needed), just make sure the car is geared for it.

The races won't take long, the laps go by pretty quick.

The Europa was first to the first few corners, then I was done. Can't stay with the other cars in the corners. You need to drift them, and the in the Europa, there is a very thin line between drift and wild spin.

I'll share mine and you can try it.

It's a wonder this thing didn't kill more drivers back in the day.

Here's me bump drafting Nick. This actually works to get both cars a little bit faster on the straights.

Here we are at the line. GT5 says I pulled out the victory by 0.008 seconds, but the pictures make it look like I was really 2nd.

SBC should be a bit more tricky than the MX5 race, but both should be fun.

There isn't a abs disable option... it would seem obvious, but then again I don't develop video games. We will be adding you extended finishing period though. That is a good idea, and I can't believe we haven't done it prior to now.

I didn't have a DFGT wheel(I have a DFP however. ), so I had to go to the menu to switch the ABS off on my car for the Miata race last week. My car was so bad I had to rely a good deal on luck and control just so I can get to the finish. ^^;;; And after my poor debut performance and having a setup on the BMW 2k2 that was the epitome of suck, I sent the car over to Brad to have him give it the once-over and adjust the settings to hopefully make it more drivable for me. Guess I should do some practice tomorrow before the race to get the kinks worked out.

As for the extending the finish period, that would be a very good idea. I'll give everyone a chance to finish the lap they're on for the race. It would be nice if a future update included for the Online races all drivers finishing the last lap that they're on when the leader takes the checkered flag.

Here's a couple more suggestions that I would like to offer. Once we see the countdown to the start of the race on the screen we should all head to the pits immediately after we complete the Qualifying lap we're currently on. Hopefully, this will prevent some drivers being left behind on the grid when the race starts. And since we're racing on the Superspeedway oval, would it be possible to set the type of start to a 2-wide rolling start?

What are you guys able to stick the turns at with the SBC cars?

My threshold seems to be about 125mph. Once i try at 127mph, it all goes bad.

Nick, what time will you be on today? I should be home and online by 5 at the latest, gonna get more practice in if you don't mind giving me those tips on the Smellica.

PS: Thanks for the paint stuffs! I may re-gift them... i'll have to show you the new car, i can't decide if i like it better or not.

I'm about 124-126 myself

5 and later sounds good, we can do and nice haha yeah I found that red, then I looked for some blues, that is the only baby blue that I had, I used all the others up on my cars

I'm usually 122-125 at corner exit entering the straight.

I topped out in the turns at about 120 in SBC, exiting at around 115 I won't miss missing that race.

I thought I won that race shown above also, but the results showed F40. I would have WON that last race (I was in) if is wasn't for an unfortunate incident. Apparently a ferret ran on the track just as we were finishing, causing 10mpsi to swerve out of the way... unfortunately right into my path as I was charging to pass him...

You were trying to pass me? I thought you were coming up to bump draft me and were just a little off center so I moved over to line us back up.

Ahhh, yes, that must have been it.

A funny one was watching F40 try to pick up the draft on me in one of the straights. I started swerving wildly to keep him out of it... draft dodging.

That bumper sticker is Photoshop. If I have some time I want to add the leopard print top and some chandeliers on the spoiler, and maybe another sticker that says "where's my bitches?!"
