I had a fried grouper sandwich for lunch today at The Hurricane on Pass-a-Grille Beach. Damn, those are good. I've been going there for years. One of my favorite lunch spots of all time.
No affiliation, just a ringing endorsement.

Small world man - LOVE the Hurricane! I like mine blackened though. My mom's best friend lives in Pass-a-Grill (most likely one of the best township names evar), so I've been visiting that little place all my life. Haven't been able to get down there in years though, due to career and all that BS.
Is the little docked seafood restaurant by the bridge over to the Vina del Mar still open? It's on the bay side. I perhaps love that place even more. I think it's called Sea Critters or something?
That's the one - good to hear. For the record, I'm not going to claim the food is necessarily better than the Hurricane, but there's something awesome about sitting on a dock while eating fresh seafood at a small family-owned place. Probably a lot of sentiment there for me too.
I have to say, if you ever have a hankering for Italian while at the beach (random, I know) - one could do far far worse than Genaro's. That place is like crack. Puts all but the most high-end Italian places in Atlanta to shame.
