I'm about to make the leap and finally get GT5, and the wheel I'm looking at is the g27.
I haven't been able to find any current reports that they have resolved all the problems with compatibility for this wheel and GT5
Early users reported that the clutch didn't work, the shifters didn't work, most of the buttons didn't work, etc etc
the clutch and shifter function is a make or break thing for me, and I'd like to be able to map some of the buttons too
so my question is this:
Is there anyone out there using the G27 right now who can confirm that the g27 has full compatibility with GT5, and that the clutch works correctly, the shifters work correctly (both the paddles and the h if poss, but at least the H), and that at least some of the buttons are mappable/functioning?
I know the logitech site says full compatibility but there were numerous complaints when it came out about these problems. just want to know before I drop $500 on a ps3/gt5/wheel setup
Thanks!

My g25 is fully compatible. There was an update several months ago from gt5 that supposedly fixed all g27 issues.

I hope you plan to join the GRM GT5 race series. We run in 2 series every Wed. night. Right now we're running rear engine rear drive cars and rally cars. Hope to see you there.

one of the main motivators for me to actually play actually! going to be cool to race with other people live, once I get used to the game of course. It's been a long time since I've been a console person

Even if you are not up to racing, you can stop by for the qualifying, or at least get hooked up with the participants as friends so you can look for them when they are online. Watching the races from in car views can be very useful also.

You will likely find that the common participant in the regular online community can be a bit less then courteous and are generally not interested at all in good close racing.

just trade my wii, some games, and an old ipod to get a 60gb backwards compatible ps3 + gt5 + final fantasy X! gt5 is downloading right now! pretty damn excited.
