You all know my oldest son is Autistic and loves Thomas the Train, (Done a few fund raisers here.) That damn blue toy train is the bane of my existence.
All we can get my boy to read about is Thomas the tank engine...till last week.
He asked for books on F1 from the school library. The school didn't have any but they are getting them for him. Ms. Service just told me.
I am a proud poppa today.
It's pretty normal for kids to latch on to a particular series and stick to it until they've read every book. And there is worse stuff out there than Thomas the Tank Engine. Glad to hear he's expanding his horizons.

That's wonderful!
My oldest friend's son has Asperger's – that lad is a voracious reader and devours anything about science and history. His knowledge of detail is astounding.
F1>NASCAR … you've done a fine job of raising him

The more I read and learn about Autism, the more I think I'm somewhere on the spectrum. I cling to series of books, re-read them over and over, will return to them many years later...
Cool thing on the F1 though.
I'll never get used to people calling him Thomas the Train. It's Thomas the Tank engine guys!!!
Well done on the little reader BTW
If he starts saying things like "Sebastian Vittel is a really useful F1 driver" you'll know the assimilation is still in progress.
I'm sure you're proud, and you should be.
He watches "Dust to Glory" with me.
