The bath is done. I ended up wearing leather gloves and an insulated shirt. The wife is sporting three band-aids. For some reason he didn't enjoy getting clean. At least his white fur is actually white rather than dingy gray.

Gyro has calmed down enough to be in the same room with the other cat, but they are still barely tolerating each other.

This is Gyro for reference.

Jack still won't come inside.

Here's Jack on the porch.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures.

Man, I want a cat!

My old job we had a warehouse cat and and 3 "wild" cats that we fed. I miss my old job just because of that.

Takes a week or two sometimes, but it works out.

Looks like BC is settling in well. The other two, well maybe they need to learn to share.

As long as we are posting puddy tat pictures, Binky the Wonder Cat is back with us (long story) and as evidenced by this pic is settling in well. He still 'squeaks' outside my BR door first thing in the morning (like 5 AM!), that's his way of saying 'get your carcass out of the bed and feed me, puny human!'.

You too? He's getting a bit pudgy, the Curmudgeonling is under orders to put His Majesty on a diet. No hell no I am not going to be the one to cut back on his chow.

Here's my two bandits – it's a wonder I get any work done. I can't spend any time at the computer without both of them insisting on being in my lap.

Siamese cats are beautiful. We had a Himalayan when I was growing up that looked a lot like this. He was schizophrenic though. You never could tell if he was going to start purring or eating you.

I call those "pet n' bites", the ones that get so overstimulated that they savage your arm. Pretty kitty though.

My two are the opposite of that. They can't get enough affection, and are big babies to handle - I roll them on their backs with their feet in the air to trim their paws. When I get up to get a coffee, I can carry one in the crook of my arm, and he barely even wakes up, they're that laid back. But when they get going, it's like a pair of acrobatic lunatics in the house. Very entertaining.

Binky looks like my kinda cat. I'd post more pictures of Charlie Bucket AKA Catbutt, but imagine an orange stripey blimp with a lot of extra toes and you get the idea.

Ok so I lied. I forgot about Catbutt doing a horsie impression.

next time you're near gainesville message me. We have one that we rescued from a dumpster... Only problem is SWMBO is allergic to em. She was originally going to get fixed and set out to be a barn kitteh, but she never got big enough imho. Hawks, eagles, coyotes around here, and I don't want to take a chance with her. She's feisty, loves rolling around and playing with the 20lb chihuahua, loves attention. We just have to limit her time around the rest of the house, and I feel bad about it. We would make sure she's UTD on everything, just say the word. Would even send her crate(yeah, crate. We're dog people) kitty tower, tunnel, litter box, with her. Her crate is her bed, and safe place for when the dogs get to be much for her.

That's the way my feline roommate is. For example, I walked into the dining room this morning. Buttbrain jumps out of the kitchen sink, runs across the counter, leaps across to the dining room table, tail straight up and ears forward the whole way, and headbutts my arm as I walk by. Pet him once. As i get past his neck, he grabs my arm with his paws and starts biting. Then we swat at each other until I calculate that he's too riled up and I walk away.

It bothers my mother to no end when she comes over. She has always had cats that you could just walk up to and pick up and pet or whatever. Very docile and complacent. This guy is NOT like that, he doesn't like it when people talk to him or just randomly pick him up or touch him or whatever. Once you respect that, he's okay to be around.

our's HATES to be picked up .. will fight like hell to get down ... doesn't cuddle, not a lap cat AT ALL ... if she's on a chair or lying on the floor and you reach to scratch her, she's ok with that for a little bit ...then pufffff she's gone

Not always............

My double-rescue and I have a symbiotic relationship; I feed him and give him attention; he repays the affection in-kind. It took him a few months to figure out he wasn't going to be abandoned for a third time. Now, he's like elasticized velcro; stuck to me or soon to be that way.

Oh yeah; he plays fetch until he's worn-out, loves to jump onto my shoulder and take a ride, starts purring with just a look and comes running TO me when I pick up the brush. Cats are great and this one is better than most.

I'm still debating on bringing a second one into the fold after losing Rascal a few months ago. Toyman's BC has very similar markings and his pics make smile and sad at the same time.

My future is a little uncertain right now as far as moving and career wise so as much as I would like a kitty right now, it just isn't the right time.

When things are a little more stable long term, I will hopefully find a kitty that needs a home.
