Hey, now. I'm the resident curmudgeon here, remember?
We had a pretty bad ass storm last night. Started kicking up around 7 and then around 9:45 the power went out. At one point I looked out the front door and saw parts of my neighbor's trees and a trash can rolling down the street. Today there are trees down and debris everywhere.
Furthering the pussification.
In more sane times, if it rained, you either went out in the rain or Halloween got rained out. There was no rain date.
Now that everyone gets trophies, this seems par for the course.
I'm just glad the rain and wind were heavy enough to keep the troublemakers indoors over night. No destroyed mailboxes, no TP, no eggs, etc. that I could see in my neighborhood on my way out this morning. Just a bunch of branches down.
Of course, tonight may be different.
Managed to hand out most of the 75 bag of candy, taking the rest to work Monday. Pitbull only barked, French bulldog got past me and knocked over a toddler while saying hello. Luckily the parents were cool & said they knew someone w/ 2 of them. I grabbed two handfuls of candy to console the child...
Put air in the tires and loaded the trailer for tomorrow's rallycross near the end, handing out candy in the garage. Got some compliments on the MR2.
