this picture shows 30 hours worth of work since Friday morning. I started by looking for a old Harley piece that I knew I had and someone online wanted. Got bit my a spider, and could not find anything. The SSR is in the backyard on the pad under a cover.

I built ~150 sqf of shelving above for all my old car parts and house stuff. Plus another 50-60sqf going in next weekend.

The tools are all back in the box. The floor is mopped and I have fixed most of the bad electrical from the previous owner. I have the 220v done on the main box and have the wires run I jut need to drop it through conduit and connect a outlet and get the welder out of storage. The blue box is full to the brim of loose hand tools. Its going to take me a good 5-6 hours to get my box back into any type of shape.

Its going to be a month or two until I get started on the bobber but I have a line on a crashed shovel and sent a off out for a motorcycle lift that I found on craigslist.

The back shelf is getting tuned into kindling when I finalize the rest of the shelves and that's where the welding station will be.

Also I am bloody tired need a beer and to crush up and snort some ibuprofen.

I think you need some more projects to take up some of that space....

But seriously. I'm jealous. I know my garage will never be that clean.

Mechanical engineer we are weird like that. I am not so far off the deep end that I name my tools, but I am close.

Soon I can start this. I have been saving like crazy but I need to get another 3-5K together before I can start. Also I have the new version of solidworks at the office that I can fab out my stiff in to test it out.

Needs 2x running under the plywood to keep the bend out of the plywood. Looks great though.

Your post made me go stand in my garage and consider cleaning up. I managed to put new bulbs in one of the dead overhead lights and then went back to posting on GRM. Thanks for the inspiration!

I did move the washer and dryer out of the garage a few years ago-more room for a big ol compressor.

I have 2x4 running already. They are actually on top near the rear but only where I am storing parts. The cat carriers and the like weight nothing but are bulky so they just have a single runner in front where the boards join. also they are screwed in from the top on each cross of the beam. They are not going anywhere.

They aren't that great, you just fill them with more stuff that occupies your time.

What, no before shot? These pictures show no evidence that you did anything at all! I'll bet in reality you spent the whole weekend in a drunken stuper just to posts pics of your already clean garage to somehow give you a false sense of accomplishment!

Sorry I took one but sold it to a pharmaceutic company to induce vomiting in people with OCD.

It was bad. Like both my kayaks on the floor, surfboards all over the place. both my old tri bikes being cut apart eBay sales. Sand and dirt everywhere. I even had stuff shoved in the bed of the truck to get it off the floor.

You'll need to log in to post.
