Love a Meyers Manx

A Manx buggy has always and probably will always be on my auto to do list. I have been telling myself for over 20 years that I wanted a slammed street manx capable of tearing up the cones

But the older I get I just see it being more of a sub 60hp dawdler on steelies with hubcaps

This image or one very much like it, has been burned into my mind since the late 70's. I can think of no more iconic "fun with cars" picture that has stuck with me like this

Yup. I have always wanted one also. Also more of a street buggy, but likely adding a Corvair engine.

Getting one to handle reasonably (they are way tail heavy) would be interesting. But, I could even deal with an OK handling drag demon that would embarrass a lot of much more expensive car across an intersection.

Our Manx is probably the one vehicle I'd never want to sell--and it already has a line of friends who want it if we ever do. It's just fun.

I just feel bad for Bruce. All those knock off submarining his idea.

I met Bruce at this years Amelia Island concourse. Very neat guy.

I met him a couple years ago at Carlisle. Very cool guy. Said when he's home in California he still goes surfing every morning.

A friend met him at the Amelia Island show and said the same - he's a pretty cool dude.

Not a real Manx, but we certainly love our street buggy.
