Due to our family schedule we’re having our turkey dinner tonight. My wife has to work today so I was left in charge.
Turkey is on the BBQ rotisserie, sourdough stuffing complete, creamy garlic mashed potatoes ready to be put in the oven, asparagus ready to be steamed, corn on the cob ready to go and pumpkin pie tarts cooling.
I just poured myself a rye on the rocks and put my feet up. I still have to pull everything together and make the gravy but I think it’s been a good day.
We are preparing for turkey tomorrow. My parents born in Ottawa area, my wife from Mississauga, and I from Kingston, are having Pilotbraden from here and some other over for a feast. My parent flew from
el Paso so we are grateful they could make it. enjoy your Thanksgiving, and good wishes to everyone.
Dinner turned out well. A bit too much thyme in the stuffing but other than that no complaints.
