It's early so you still have time to redeem yourself by rushing out for at least flowers.
I stopped at a high end candy store yesterday, I was tempted but in the end left without the chocolate flavored body paint, complete with two brushes.

Guaranteed salmonella free cookies?
I got the girlfriend a little gift from the Sanrio store (a turtle bobble-head) and a nice card. Then I made her breakfast with heart-shaped pancakes.
Now we have to go shopping for stuff for a catering event the girlfriend is doing.
I'm in Trinidad, wifey is in Ft. Lauderdale. Go home tomorrow, gotta get something nice and islandy at the airport. Business trip, she's OK with it.

Yep. Jif products not included in recall.
Gearing up to go into chef mode in a little bit.
Shrimp bisque, filet mignon w/ a nice pan sauce, etc...
Should be good.
Valentine's day...pfft. Single's awareness day is more like it. That said, I the better part of the day on a dyno.
I got the girlfriend some clothes that she had hinted at. Got out for under 20 bucks, gave them to her early, she gave me a nice "gift" in return, and then we went home from school. She spent the weekend with her family, I went to the Chicago Auto Show
I'm treating the missus to a day at the spa. While shes doing what it is one does at the spa I will be wrenching. Then it off to dinner at the docks in Annapolis.

3 years. Procrastination knows no bounds.
I have yet to meet a woman who would still be around 3 years later waiting for her Valentine gift.
