SE Michigan is the furthest south I've ever lived. Winter is far more fun further north than here. A few more days and I'll have a snow tire swapping party in the driveway, one car done and three to go.

You think it gets dark early in London? Try living in the same time zone , but 500 miles further east. Look up sunset time for Perce, Quebec.
We got our first inch of snow overnight last night. Most we've seen until now this year was a few flurries that left a light dusting on the grass. And the boat has been out of the water for just over a month already. Time for spring to hurry up.
I heard there were flurries last night here in central NJ.
I'll probably put the snow tires on my wife's MINI just because I have them and to check for the (inevitable) bent wheel or two. My AWD Golf Sportwagen will get the factory 205/60-16 no-seasons put back on vs the 225/40-18 Pilot Sport 4s on there now. It's the first all-season car I've owned in 20 years that didn't get a set of snow tires. We haven't had a bad snow season in years and the reality is that I don't actually have to go anywhere if it does snow.
I can't recall if I even pulled out my snow thrower last year. I know my daughter didn't get to user her sled (which is a crime, as we have a terrifying/awesome wooded hill).
