I saw one like it at Sears the other day while returning a ratchet and looking for a 12x1.25 die. IIRC theirs was only about $30.

If it works, it would be a nice addition to the traveling tool bag...

From what I understand, they work pretty well for cleaning up buggered end threads. No personal experience, yet... I'll get one eventually just to have.

If it works that thing looks figgin awesome, I could use one in every one of my tool boxes. This could get expensive.

I have used it , Its not a bad thread chaser, but will not make new threads. great for cleaning rust out or flat threads.

Brass wire wheel is good for cleaning threads, if that doesn't get it I run 'em thru a die. I doubt I'd ever buy that tool.

Strangely powerfull tool.

I got one a few years ago, on the advice of my father, who's had one far longer and loves it.

Since adding it to the arsonal, I've never had to use it. The vast number of bolts with boogered threads has dropped to nil. Without ever coming off the shelf, the tool has kept my bolt threads clean and straight.

In all sincerity, I haven't used it in the few years I've had it. Truly, I just haven't had as many boogered threads. When I do, I forget the tool and reach for my thread file instead.
