I have been unable to "log-into" Craigslist all day (sunday, 10 Aug. beginning early am CDT to, so far, mid afternoon CDT). Could someone have devised a way to keep someone who flags alot? (I am really tired of those "buy a '07 335i for $2980" ads .) If it makes a difference, the city I am trying to access is Memphis, Tn.
No luck in Gainesville either. Its not from flagging posts thats for sure. I haven't been on Craigslist regularly for about a month.
Minneapolis Craigslist is working.

The main states list is working, as is Illinois and its cities.
cars is now Cars and truck url is xxx.craigslist.org/cto, not .org/cars. the 4 listings near me have been hit and miss
Ours recently changed from Cars to Cars-Private seller and Cars-dealer. But the main page doesn't reflect that yet.
More importantly, sometimes I'll list something and a page will come up like an invoice, saying my total is $0.00, but leaving me worried that paying for ads is not too far away (And I am aware that they derive their income through paid real estate rental listings in a few cities.)

CL came back about 4 pm here (CDT), I never saw anything about maintenance. The message I would sometimes get was something along the lines of "unable to perform that operation at this time, try again".
I don't know about anywhere else, but I assume those idiotic ads that tell you someone "locally" (the location is Memphis, but I imagine they are tailored to appear locally everywhere) has a VERY expensive car they are looking to sell for $2980 are starting to comprise 75% to 85% of the car/truck ads here. It's like the Nigerian scam on E-Bay in that all these scam car ads ask the same price whether they are selling a Chevy or a Porsche. I guess they think EVERYONE is a sucker for a low price?
I just found a super clean Avilanch for 5200, instead of palm trees in the backround, it had Cacti. Yes, upstate NY is full of seguaro cactus
