Especially in Summer.
Worked with about 40 kids on saturday.. doing some video at a Bar Mitzva. I was fine till monday night when my sinues opened up like the poverbial waterworks. Now I am stuffed up, my throat is sore, and I think it is creeping into my chest.
I remember now why I call other people's children "disease carrying vermin"
Look at the bright side- you can spend all day posting on this board now, and not get in trouble with work.
Try being a first year teacher. It takes a while to build up immunity to kid-sick.

I was down for about a week last month with a flu-thing. During my exam period, to boot. Worst timing .
Get well soon. Lots of water and Vitamin C!
"Festering cauldrons of disease" is my saying.
If you got sick on Monday, I doubt you got it from the kids on Saturday.
Sick is bad. Sick in summer is even worse.
I spent Tuesday and Wednesday with a fever. I was on the sofa, in my sleeping bag shivering cold. The temperature in the house was 86 F.
