Have we talked about the Ryan Reynolds sequel yet?

Deadpool 2. I have rightfully come by a mistrust of comedy sequels. Also a general mistrust of comic-book movie adaptations. Anyone seen this yet? Is there already another thread I missed? Thoughts?

Nope.  And will actively avoid this one until I do. 

I have heard nothing but good and/or great things about this movie. I trust my source as well.

I’m with most. I was an active comic nerd as a kid and teen. Now, all my heroes have been bastardized by Hollywood. I’ll never read a comic again. I’ll never see those movies. 

Deadpool especially. Why does EVERYTHING have to be violent and foul mouthed?!?!?

Havent seen it, but I very much enjoyed the first one, and I enjoyed the previews for this one.  I expect it will be a good time, and probably more entertaining that a good portion of the MCU movies.

Also, the Marvel characters have been portrayed pretty well in movies lately. DC, yeah they should've stopped at The Man of Steel.

I was going to see it at 6, but my wife went and rear ended her borrowed car. New headlight and a hood is in order, and we are now buying it off of my father.

There are approximately ten PG or PG-13 comic book movies for every one R-rated one. So, they seem pretty easy to avoid if you are repulsed by a word. In fact, I can think of exactly three: Deadpool, Logan, and Deadpool 2.

Well I personally cannot berkeleying wait to go see it.

Saw it last night. Enjoyed it very much. Probably most true to character representation in thebmovies of a comic book character. No punches pulled either,  as one should expect from the Merc with a mouth. A few scenes were stretched,  especially near the end,  but overall well done.  On Paris with the first I'd say. And the music of the soundtrack is placed well throughout. Stay for the during/aftercredits as well. 

Well my brother and I are going on monday. Tentatively. Will report back.

To express my disinterest in the topic at hand.  Why all the hate? Don’t feel judged here people. I’m not “elevating” myself, I’m giving my reason I won’t go see it. The “R” movie rating goes for anything, not just comic movies. I hate the comic movies on a completely separate reason- they ruined most, if not ALL of the original storyline. Spider-Man WAS my favorite movie... thanks a lot Stan Lee!

Imagine someone joining GRM and posting in threads about how much they hate cars, racing, the hobby, miatas, and car culture in general. Why even join GRM forum or post at all?

We went last night and enjoyed.  The whole X-Force bit in the middle was excellent.  

Went with TM and our two oldest teenagers, i’m Looking forward to a couple years from now when all our kids can enjoy a movie together.  People don’t think about that but when you have kids separated by more than a year there will be times when movie night is a split affair.

Mid-credit scene was well worth staying for, I saw a bunch of people leaving as soon as the movie “ended”.  You just can’t do that with Marvel, amateurs.

I'm not being a dick (much.) But if comic book movies and foul language are off putting, why subject yourself to to something you don't like? Forget that noise, man. Theres ton of threads here that don't have R-rated movies,  comic books, or nasty words. 

Saw it, enjoyed it. Did like the first one a little better though.

Ditto. Good stuff. I enjoyed it but I'm not sure I'd pay to see it again. Worth watching though, especially if you were a fan of the first one.
