For someone to take care of your pets if you're gone?
It's impossible to read this and not feel crushing compassion for the animals in question. No finger wagging--just ask yourself if your pet would be at risk then act appropriately.

Yes, I have, and I've changed them based upon my pup's, and potential homes for her, based upon her stay with several options while I've been hospitalized in the past.

"The Iron Druid Chronicles is a series of urban fantasy novels, novellas, novelettes and short stories, written by Kevin Hearne and published by Del Rey Books." Umm.
The two dogs we just got came from a murder/suicide house. That couple didn't care about their 5 and 9 year old kids, much less the dogs. The county shelter couldn't find anyone that wanted a 75 pound Shepherd mix and a 6 pound Chiuahah. No more popping plastic bags in our house, the Shepherd goes apeE36 M3 over any noise that remotely sounds like a gunshot.
If we kick off, my kids will take care of the pups and each other.
Edit to add pictures. You can't have a dog thread without pictures.
Greta, age 4. She is 75 pounds of lazy. Wants nothing more than to sleep and lay around in the sun.
Miya, also age 4. She is a 6-pound bundle of energy. Loves to play fetch. Go figure.
Maddie, age 9. She is the matriarch and rules the roost. 14 pounds of dictator.
And Napoleon, also age 9. 15 pounds of stupid. He should have been named Gilligan. Goofy as they come and not a care in the world.

Dammit. Link fixed. Sorry about that.
Yep, and we have plenty of them. Fortunately we'll likely outlive our sugar gliders, but probably not the torts.
In my trust along with a cash payment per year that they live and the list of people who I want them to go to and the order. Easy to update when we get a new one.
