Spotify, iTunes, and Pandora have failed me. I want to make the ultimate slow dance compilation for my Uncle's wedding. He's 65 and he's a big fan of old-school R&B ballads from his childhood.

Here are your seed songs for building the playlist:

Etta James, trust in me, sunday kind of love
Flamingos, only have eyes for you
Otis Redding, these arms of mine

Are you an Amazon Prime member? There's a playlist in Prime Music called Classic Soul Ballads that is exactly what you seek.

Bill Withers "Ain't No Sunshine" -- or is that too sad?

Have you tried Slacker? They've got a "Classic Soul" and a "Smooth Jams" station under the R&B section.

I had Pandora for a while, tried Spotify briefly, and Apple is the Debil. Slacker is the best of the lot in my opinion. Their algorithms for songs/artists you might like based on other likes and dislikes actually works. It's conceivable, that if one of the pre-programmed stations doesn't meet your needs, you could easily make your own. Their ban song and ban artist options work too, Pandora liked to try and sneak a song I'd banned weeks ago back into rotation, not cool.

Slacker's "stations" are pretty good too, and I really enjoy the "Artist's DNA" stations.

However, Slacker has let me down on occasion. No way, no how, no where, should Jason Aldean be on an "Outlaw Country" station. Ban artist isn't strong enough for that E36 M3, they need to ad a "nuke from orbit" option.

No, but a little too fast. I like em slow.

But it is one of my favorites to sing at Karaoke.

Pandora tried to sneak Chris Gaines in on my "singers and songwriters" station. Nuke.

I'll try slacker. Thanks.
