That's the new Big Thing from Porsche Classic. And they define a "classic" as any Porsche built prior to 2006. Porsche has been making a big push to get many old parts back onto the shelves. They are also recruiting dealerships to devote a portion of their service business to bringing older cars back in-house for parts and repairs.
Probably a good business plan. With the absurd money all the air cooled stuff is getting now, I'm surprised the VW dealers don't go after 21 window van service. "What's that? I need to spend $9000 on brakes for my bus? Well, one sold at B-J for half a million, go ahead."
The Nashville dealer is doing that now too. They actually charge a lower labor rate for the older cars, but ask for more time with them since many parts would need to be ordered etc.
Also, I sold one of my 911s to them and it was an extremely painless experience, so I can recommend that for someone looking for an easy sale.
