The reason why I am concerned about depth is that I can't go out, only up. Therefore, I want to use every inch of available wall space.
Thanks for the heads up on the fire aspect. Not something i had given much thought about other than making sure I had no open gas/fumes and a fire extinguisher.
I will work on the duct work.
And above the thermoply is yellow fiberglass insulation and what appears to be screen door material.
I really appreciate all the help and support guys. Kinda going at this alone and asking questions about stuff that I haven't messed with much.
