Bet you're glad you read first, rather than just throwing something out there...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this as well.
That's all I've got to say about that.
Well there ya go, another product y'all could put the GRM logo on.
just sayin'
Every so often Costco has some Duracell-branded LED flashlights on sale for cheap. I have a few, and one has a wonky power button, but other than that, they are great. The big ones are focusable and put out a TON of light.
But I also have a bunch of the cheap HF ones around, too, based on the "10 hammers" philosophy.

Hopefully it will be better received than the anal beads.

Missed that promotion, maybe the store could do a bundle.

I have at least 10 $1 led flashlights from WalMart all over the house and in pretty much every car. I don't go looking for them and my old mag light stays next to the bed just in case.
Spot on. I'm not quite as cheap, but $15 LEDs work well enough it's hard to justify spending $60 per light.
Guess it depends on what you do for a living. I use my flashlight at work every day.. and not just for seeing stuff right in front of me. It often gets used for looking up into the ceiling or as an impromptu pointer to show somebody what light I need them to move and focus. As such, I need a bright light with a focused beam that can easily reach 50+ feet without losing focus. My current light can shine a rather unfocused light to the top of our building.. 38 floors up. It's not useful at that distance, but you can see that I am illuminating the top of the building from a handheld flashlight that uses a small 3 volt battery
The cheap LED flashlights have their place, especially if children may use them.

Oh I've got those as well, for $15.
Convoy S6 with 3.7v 18650s pumping out 600 lumens at max. Very visible spot at 68ft.
I don't use them for work, but if I did I'd still buy the cheap ones because many of the expensive ones are just copies of cheaper lights and vice versa.

I've got a number of 3D cell Maglights around the house, in the cars and in my bag at work. I scattered them like the 10 hammers. I started buying them years ago when I needed ones I couldn't break. The light that gets the most use though is my Lego keychain. Ive been carrying for about 10 years and it's been clipped to my belt loop for blackouts, blizzards and hurricanes and come in super handy when I just need a quick light.
Not mine but similar. Mine has lost his arms and the chrome has worn off the chain.
I've got a Surefire G2X Tactical attached to the barrel of the 870 that resides in the bedroom. It's very much like my own little personal Sun. Literally illuminates my entire back yard and then some from the threshold of the back door. It's underrated at the advertised 320Lm.
As impressive as the Surefire is, even with the "quick disconnect" barrel mount, it ain't that quick to remove, and grabbing a shotgun every time you need a flashlight presents its own set problems.
The Surefire G2X series is an impressive light for $50+, but it's a little cost prohibitive to do like most of us do, and buy mass quantities to squirrel away in various locations we expect to need them.
I did some research, and wound up buying half a dozen of these little 300lm 7W Cree UltraFire flashlights. One in each car, and a few others around the house. I gave one to my FIL, and he was so impressed I had to get him some more. Last couple times I've got them, they were $3.99 a piece, but they're still an amazing little light for the current price of $5.99.
ETA: Looks like you can still get them for $3.99 if you're not in a hurry. Slow boat from China UltraFire .

That would work, unless you can't find your ass with both hands and a flashlight.

This. I have at least 5 of these and they're perfect for the stuff an average person uses flashlights for.
