This is a learn me thread sorry lol.

There is a 08 TurboX I kinda have a large crush over and I just would like to know what's what (aside from so/so MPG and rare is actually used correctly in the description)

Learn me or us as a collective?

suspect in question

I dunno, but I like that too. Seems kinda spendy though.

I've been spying these for years and it seems this is around the going price for most of them.

They seem to make big power with bolt ons. Huge amounts of torque.

Oh, and they sound weird.

X means AWD right? That is something to consider as it is the Haldex unit, right? The 2.8L has some serious maintenance or die issues but if you take care of them, I THINK that they are fairly reliable. I have a 2010 9-3 2.0L Turbo with a stick and enjoy most of the car. It could use a better shifter and less wheel spin (AWD is probably required on the V6).

You could get AWD without getting the Turbo-X. The Turbo-X is more like.... BMW's "M" in this case.

I thought that the X was always AWD or am I wrong? This one is AWD though so I guess just do a little research on how to keep that Happy and follow the rules for the V6 and you should be golden.

Well yes.... but this isn't the same old tired Haldex.

As in tread lightly or run as fast as possible?

Yup, "Turbo X" is a special edition. Saab called their AWD "XWD".

Rear struts are $, I've heard of a few rear differential failures.

My brother had an '06 9-3 Aero with the same 2.8T for several years, no issues with the engine. However it is TIGHTLY squeezed in there so I'd hate to have to work on it.

I don't know much about it other than it was a bit more performance oriented than the other stuff.

Not sure about reliability.
