Hey you airplane drivers! 3br - Home and Hanger/ Shop on Airstrip

Looks like a Piper Apache, 2 Skyhawks, 2 RV6s, and an SNJ.

I have no interest in planes, but that is awesome.

Jeez, what hurts the most is how little that $215k would buy around here.

That seems crazy cheap. I don't think 215k will buy you much of A 6 acre lot here let alone one with an airfield

I was too mesmerized by the SNJ to realize.

It's a Beech Travelair, the TwinBo would look like a giant parked next to those airplanes. The SNJ is the coolest though. I think if I wanted my wife to knife me in my sleep I'd buy this place without asking.

If that was local I would be calling right now. It's almost too good to be true.

Granted you're 30 minutes from a town, and 40-50 minutes from any jobs, but still...

Working for a living is vastly over-rated.

Wisonville has a coal fired power plant.

E36 M3 if I had $215K (or a large enough fraction of that to use as a down payment or get a morgage), all of grassroots/craigslist/airplane forums would have spectacular pictures of my house/backyard right now. In a year or so I'd pave the runway and have a very elaborate series of taxiways... with apex kerbing

Around here that property would have another 0 at the end of the price.

Around here it might be two 0s, for that amount of land

Is storing hobby airplanes and operating/maintaining an airstrip a lucrative enough living in rural AL to feed one's self?

Only if you can eat the grass clippings from mowing the runway!
