What does the hive mind think? is this any better than using an angle grinder to cut? How long will it take before it is transformed into a blunt impact tool?

I have nothing to add other than the only other place I have seen this is on late night TV infomercials.

I have one because...well because it was shiny and had two spinning blades. It is pretty ferocious and will cut through anything, but the depth of cut is very shallow, maybe 1.5" if you are lucky. So you can't cut a 2x4 in one pass. Or a 2" pipe. Or a door. And the cuts are pretty ragged, so you can't finish cut thinner materials like plywood. So its only suitable for demolition work, but with such a shallow cut, it doesn't really work for that either. Oh, it also throws sawdust EVERYWHERE in every direction.

A 12" circular or a Sawzall are both better for demo work and more versatile all around. If you want a new tool, go for an oscillating multitool. That I actually do use a lot.

But it DOES have two blades.

I have the Menards brand one, and agree with everything posted but will add that for cutting through sheet metal it is way faster than I expected. I turned a used 14' garage door into a 12' door for my barn and it zipped through that metal like the proverbial hot knife through butter.
