Highlander getting remade.
Henry Cavill playing with swords like The Witcher. Director is Chad Stahelski, director/producer of the John Wick movies, and stunt coordinator of a lot of other stuff.
So long as they dont screw up the theme song and give us a good cover of Princes of The Universe its gonna make a bazillion dollars.
Henry Cavill? Psh. He's no Christopher Lambert!

Why not remake the one that sucked instead.
Literally anything would improve Highlander II
If anyone can carry it, Cavill can.
Why not just watch the original?
Flyer from when we showed it at my school theater as a midnight movie. I still maintain the projectionist had the volume louder than usual. And it was perfect.
$2, too!

I don't remember much of Highlander, but I do remember the theme song and all the lightning involved with the quickening.
Fun fact about the original. In order to have the swords spark when they hit each other, the actors had batteries hidden on them with wires going up their arms to the swords. They'd do it with CG these days, but I always thought that was a cool effect.
Can’t really improve upon this.
Henry Cavell, whatever.
Who's playing this guy?
The lack of Connery in the new one will be noticeable:
Yeah, Highlander is a movie where there really should have been only one.
It's good to see that Toyota is branching out into filmmaking.
I loved Cavill in The Witcher so this should be good.

They'll probably replace Clancy Brown with Dwayne Johnson or something silly like that.
One of my favorites from back in the day, can't recall why someone from the Scottish Highlands uses a samurai sword over a broadsword, but let's not get bogged down by details. It will be fun to have a modern take on it, and Henry Cavill is just great.

I still find it hilarious that, in a movie called "Highlander", they hired Sean Connery, quite possibly the most Scottish man ever to walk the earth, and had him play a Spaniard, and had a French guy play the Scot.
In reply to pinchvalve (Forum Supporter) :
His sword of choice was discussed in the movie. (This was based on a true story, right?)
