But unique...
Daihatsu Hijet Truck Jumbo Active
I don't hate that.
Saw an older version of one at the kids bus stop the other day. As an American truck owner, the bed looks too small to be practical. Otherwise, i dug it. Smelled like a diesel to me.
What makes this different than any other Micro Truck?
Subaru Sambar, Honda Acty, Mazda Scrum, Suzuki Carry, Mitsubishi Minicab, etc... The are all over Asia.
They are known as Kei class trucks in Japan. They are legislated very tightly, so the dimensions and layout end up being almost the same for every brand.
They aren't road legal in the US. Something about crash testing, or some such nonsense. They are, however, used off road, on farms, on large campuses, as maintenance vehicles, etc.
They are generally 11'2" long. You can fit 7 of them in a 40' long shipping container (in case anyone is wondering!) lol!!
I'm in for a group buy if anyone else is!
(If anyone is wondering how you fit 7 in a 40' container, it's how you stack them. Front wheels of #2 go in the bed of #1, front wheels of #3 go in the bed of #2, etc.)
Local dealer had a pile of those VW looking Subarus for sale last year.
They're legal here but way too expensive. If I could get one for the right price I'd drive one. It would be perfect for my commute
In my area, a lot of small towns allow golf carts. If my tiny Town allows it, I might start looking for one as a around the "farm" and run into town for groceries on a snow day tomorrow thing.
