I dunno. It looks really well done and I love box flares as much as the next guy, but I think they kind of ruin the lines of an X1/9, personally. The car looks so clean, why mess with that?

Yeah, Im not seeing it. It isn't original and it isn't fast. It looks kind of ricey to me. As mentioned above, a K series honda and we might be onto something. My response is 13k will get you one HELL of a first gen MR2 with all sorts of cash left over to upgrade to your hearts desire. A Black Top (20V 4age) would walk all over this thing like nothing.

It looks cool, I guess... but box flares do not sex up a X1/9 as much as they do other cars... like say the 914.

I'm not saying I wouldn't rock that - just that I wouldn't pay extra for it.

Also, not trying to stir the pot and start a whole VS thing. The fiat just isn't doing it for me. Maybe it is the chicken wire...

I thought it was just me that was underwhelmed. I don't care if those wheels are IDMyo, ultra-rare megabux Abarth pieces; they're cheap-looking and fugly. And the steering wheel looks like it came off a $49 Microsoft racing game controller.

I liked the way it's shaped. Not a big fan of black cars. I'd paint it a bright color and drop a TSX K24 / 6spd under it.

I would change the wheels instantly.

I'd sell those wheels to some Fiat nutter for half the cost of the car.

lose the rims, steering wheel, mesh, and wing.. and it would be sitting in my garage (if I had the cash for such a toy)

stock trim the X1/9s drivetrain is nothing special, with the right carbs/fi and cams.. it revs to the moon in a way that would make Honda's jealous and weighs next to nothing.
