Seriously!
Yup, no real reason to worry about the PS4 if you are into it for racing. GT6 comes out in a few weeks for PS3, and knowing how that product goes, the PS4 version is at LEAST a year away.
GT may not be super realistic (it's certainly not bad though, GT6 is supposed to be a bit better), but it can be rather entertaining, you just have to be racing with the right people
( tonight's GRM GT5 race should be interesting: Stock RGT's (911's) on a bumpy track... rear engined cars no likey' the jumpeys' )
Back in September, GT's Yamauchi claimed that GT7 would be released in a year or two...so I'd guess 2015 is pretty likely.
Now that both next-gen systems require a paid membership to play online, I'm not so sure that I'll own both.
...because you're an adult now and these things don't matter as much to you as they did in the past?

"Most people die at 25, but aren't buried until they are 75."
If I ever stop wanting to have some fun and goof off, I'll proceed to the highest building and call it.
I have no need to have a release model, and in fact would prefer a later revision. I'll wait until after the holiday hysteria, and look into one next spring, if there are any must-have games for it.

my newest gaming system is a Dreamcast... enjoyed it for a year or so and realized that video games left me behind and playing with my 1:1 scale car models was more fun.. i'll play the occasional Call of Duty with my 13 year old nephew because he wants to show me how awesome the latest version is- even if the "enemy" is zombies now, for some reason- and harassed some teenagers with foul mouths in a couple of short sessions of the latest version of GTA a few weeks ago... but i outgrew video games when they decided that they had to start making them "realistic" and forced you to play them for weeks on end to beat them..
i just noticed something. the ps4 has no cd laser. it wont play or rip your music cds, and i don't think it will play music off an external drive either...
thats a pretty significant drop in functionality for a device that supposed to be a successor to a media hub like the ps3....
A guy from work went to the midnight release to pick up his Ps4, only to have it brick upon setup.
This guy worships Sony, so you can imagine how weird it was to listen to him rant about how crappy his new PS4 is.
