I typically don't in the last 3.5 years I've had:
S52 swapped E30
318is
06 350Z
'10 Speed 3
'90 Miata track rat
'13 Mustang GT
And that doesn't include the E30 'vert I traded for an engine before I got it running right, my beater Z34 Monte Carlo I had up until the 350, or the truck I just traded in.
I currently own the Miata and the Mustang.
I just look at the checkbook then at my already filled garage and driveway then walk away muttering and dreaming.
I remind myself how frustrating having more projects than time.
Sometimes that works. Of course, I just picked up a free 5.0 mustang. What would YOU have done? :)

Free?
I would have snagged it too.
Fappin' it helps cure my temptations.
As far as cars go, my bank account quickly turns my temptations to sorrow. I suppose that goes for the wimmenz too.

Were like alcoholics who have switched to cheap liquor so we can drink more.
Buy something cool for a car I already have. It ends up being about 1000% cheaper and, most of the time, scratches the same itch.

Not necessarily cure, just deal with it in a way.
How do I deal with vehicular temptations?
Forza + Fanatec.
Yeah, none of it is tangible. So what. It usually entertains me enough to keep me off craigslist. Which keeps the wife happy.
I have no money and no space. Living in an apartment and owning 5 cars REALLY SUCKS.
Oh wait... with recent acquisitions... make that 7 cars.
So i guess despite my limitations, i still manage to increase the number.

I got that the other day from my brother, when I told him the Jeep was likely for sale soon so I could buy an Excursion- and I've never driven the Jeep.
I tell myself that a 40mpg, Hatchback, RWD, easy and cheap to fix, and affordable car does not exist and therefore everything else will be a letdown.
I know that if I get any more cars I won't work on them anyway so I am forcing myself to get rid of a couple first.
This world is full of temptations. I'm not a drunk, don't do coke, and don't sleep with women other than my wife. Likewise, I don't own more than one vehicle more than I can keep inside a garage. Hence the garage space for 5 vehicles. Plus a motorcycle, minibike, & go-kart. Wait, what was the question?
I'm finally getting over my either lack or money or time equation so I can start working towards finishing my projects that have been on hold for nearly 5 years now.
First order of business is save the drivetrain of the '92 and scrap the rest of it......
It is very easy to be tempted. I have bought many vehicles over the years because i could not fight the temptations. It is usually one particular aspect that pushes me over the edge. I have had many great vehicles, but have also had some that were a complete mistake. Good luck fighting the temptations.....
Over 120 cars in my 26 years of driving eligibility....I'd say I deal with my vehicular temptation poorly.
Or excellently depending on your point of view.
