I've heard that zinc works. Also obviously bleach, but that will likely affect any vegetation that contacts the runoff also, if you care.
Pruning the branches back will allow the roof to dry and discourage growth.

Any commercially available weed killer with a 41% glyphosate concentration should kill it.
I’ve heard the zinc strip thing as well.
