The fence on either side of my yard is 15 years old. And still survive the occasional hurricane. I wouldn't sweat it too much.
The decks on my house are 20. They get pressure washed and soaked in Thompsons waterseal every year or so. They still look fairly new. I'd give the treated wood 6 or 8 months to dry out and hit it with a garden sprayer of water seal.

Good call. 6 months of Oklahoma heat should do well, puts us right to the end of October.
