My buddy Nacho (Egnacio,) who was the only illegal messican I really hung out with on a regular basis for a while, called me, and was called in return, horrible, HORRIBLE things compared to "illegal." I understand most people have chosen a PC existence. Personally, I believe life is more fun when you can openly make fun of each other and let E36 M3 roll off your back. It's called "ball-busting" and is universally understood by the most awesome of every culture.

Yeah, but you'd only do that with people you know. Or at least most folks would. Yeah, if I had a buddy who was a bastard and we joked about it, that would be one thing. But if I used the term with someone I didn't know or have the background to make such a joke with I don't think it would go over well, no matter how accurate it was.
Plus, no one ever got deported for being a bastard. Calling your buddy an illegal in public could result in a lot of things. Probably not something to do at the local biker bar.

Unfortunately, the political proclivities/implications of these sources kind of renders them not too useful in a more general sense.
Their 'skin in the game' relies on the same sensationalism to make themselves or their cause more relevant.

He asked if anyone had been bothered by the use of that word. He said he wasn't aware of anyone who was. I told him I have indeed talked to people who were and provided some sources to show that the people I met with aren't the only ones. It's an ongoing debate. There are no "political proclivities/implications" to it. Either people are botherd by it or they aren't. That's all he asked. That's all I answered. And I went out of my way to say so.

and universally misunderstood by the majority, sadly. these people who cant take a little ball busting are the same ones that complain all the time, one of the reasons I cant stand the job I've got right now. lol
