For some reason I remember reading a few years ago that someone, maybe BF Goodrich set up pits to service vehicles in desert races like the Baja 1000 and that they had ads looking for help. For some reason this sounds like fun if I can ever travel again but I can't find any info on it. Did I make this up or am I failing at the google?

The closest thing I could find after a short search.

Sounds like it could be a fun vacation.

That is probably where I saw it and looks like a good time.  Now to figure out how to get there.

There are smaller events in the southwest if you'd rather not cross the border.

As tempting as that is my skills and budget are better in a support role.

It seems they're still around, a message has been sent.

I'm open to pretty much anything that fits my schedule though if I'm going that far from home I might as well go all the way.
