Although that's not entirely fair... Audi shoved the engine so far back that they had to put the torque converter behind the front differential. Now, if you want nose-weight, how about the Northstar engined Caddies, which had not only the engine in front of the front axle, but also the incredible pig of a transmission (4T80?) as well.

Now, that's production cars. Somewhere a while ago, I saw a FWD drag racer that had a Mazda 13B with requisite gigantic turbo, mounted to a Powerglide (maybe TH350 or C4, it's been a while) with a short driveshaft to a Ford 9"... and yes it was all hung out in front of the front axle.

Never looked under the hood of an Audi?

I think the key word here is "kill" at the local drifting events. That car looks to be a widowmaker
