I made a huge mistake by ever bringing that issue here in the first place. I had no family, friends, co-workers or others... not even clergy that I felt I could get rational feedback from. GRM has been the go to place for many, many issues over the years... think about it for a minute. Lots of dirty laundry aired anywhere from cheating spouses, dysfunctional parents or family members, drugs, alcohol, physical and mental issues... the list goes on and on. In a way y'all have become brothers to me.

I took some harsh criticism along the way, and yes I deserved that. In the end I agreed w/ the overwhelming consensus of the board... just let it go, move on. Agreed absolutely. I came to a final conclusion and so did the thread as well as I said up front in the original post. It served it's purpose well, I've been enlightened and that weight had been lifted. If it's ever meant to be, it will happen.

I could care less about living some dream, being epic or even memes now, c'mon. Let it the berkeley go. My life was berkeleyed up to begin with, that is what I was trying to reconcile in the first place. Others could be hurt if this ever grew legs, some adults may deserve it, some may not.

There is one person that definitely doesn't deserve any hurt, she may have suffered enough already. She was the subject of the original post, please respect that.

Please, don't even give this the potential to grow legs and go any further. Stop it now for the sake of decency. Delete what you have, just let it disappear once and for all.

Beat me up all you want but please leave her alone.

that couldn't be more true, and i've turned to the board for the same reasons many a time. So due to that I won't share the copy of the post. The sanctity of this place needs to be protected, even if it means others miss out of a tale that if told to the most interesting man alive would leave him responding with, "that's mighty impressive, I've got nothing that can compare, can I buy you a round? What'll you have? A Corona? I've never tried one before. takes sip This is fantastic!".

i included the last sentence in the quote as you didn't deserve any criticism. You were turning to your sounding board and voice of reason regarding a difficult decision and how to proceed with caution, with the good faith of doing what you hope would be best. Checking in with a source that you trust to receive rational feedback from deserves no scorn.

Alright, alright, I lightened up. I won't have any problems w/ Amy references on the boards cause I see y'all kinda enjoy that, I don't wanna be a stick in the mud about it. But please don't ever resurrect that thread again though. Like I said before, there's one person that could be hurt that absolutely doesn't deserve it. Respect that and all is good. Carry on.

Soo yea. The Vietnam special is probably one of my favorites too.

If I had to pick an exotic local special, I would go with the 4x4 South America one or either of the Africa specials. That said they are all good.
