... and it sucked.
I won't say what it was since it is a client and they've been really great working with us. They brought down a $60k car and let us have it for a week so we could shoot "golden hour" shots - basically the light an hour before sunset makes things look really nice, so it takes a few days to get good shots.
Nice car. Sat nav, nice stereo, nice climate control, fancy seats. I hated it. It had power, but it was more numb than a 17 year old who just had his wisdom teeth pulled. Couldn't get out of it fast enough. Jumping in my MR2, it was as if the steering wheel had suddenly been connected to the wheels again and the brakes had a setting between on and off. When I push the gas there is a sound I can hear that lets me know the engine is running. When I turn the wheel the car changes direction rather than consulting with the rest of the vehicle and coming to a consensus before entering into a direction changing maneuver.
$60k. For that. No thanks. I can get a car I like a TON better for a tenth that.
Oh, best part. Car had 38 miles on it. Driving over to the location, a piece of plastic trim when flying off the car. Yeah. We were going about 28 MPH at the time.
