After almost a year of underemployment I have finally landed a solid position with the State of Missouri Senate Office of Appropriations as a Budget Analyst. May not sound all that interesting but I think that it will be and there are a E36 M3 load of benefits. Anyone here remember what "comp time" is? I bet you have to go pretty far back in your memory for that one. Yippee!
Ask for a company car, perhaps a 2014 Kia Rondo?
Analyst is a dirty sounding word, but I'm happy for ya, brother! Congrats. You know better than to get a Kia, though.

Well, me to. My biggest supplier wanted to expand into international sales, made me an offer I could not refuse. Literally. I threw numbers out, Boss said "I can live with that>" Takes some of the fun out of it when it's that easy. Director of International Sales sounds a lot fancier than it really is. Jane will take care of our little business while I go Big Time.
Welcome to being a government employee.
Don't let the inefficiency, bureaucracy and politics get you down.
Congrats!
Attaboy! Glad to hear any of the peeps are newly employed.
Missouri....home of harry truman! Good job
Way to go. It's good to be working.
Congratulations to everyone!
Me too. As my lettering and striping biz got smaller due to vinyl wraps, I decided to pick up a part time delivery job to fill in down time. A month later, and my delivery job has become a fulltime non-commision sales route. So, my new hobby seems to be lettering and pinstriping.
Congrats! Feels good doesn't it?
Are you ready for all the political harassment?
Thanks gang! I am going to try and leave work there.
Also, does pinchvalve work for Kia now?
Also also, I doubt that I do know better Sper, as I just bought a Saab
First day at the new job. Woohoo! My office has a real door made of laminated wood and everything.
Braved the snow for a first day?
Congrats and welcome to the world of government employment.....
It wasn't quite that bad Sper.
Thanks Bird. I think this will work out ok.
