Drove my 57 T-Bird for the first time this year.
Took a trio of .45s to the shooting range.
Pulled the third member out of the T-Bird's 9-inch rear in preparation for a gear swap.
Watching the Dodgers beat up on the D-backs out in the Cactus League.
Now I'm just keeping an eye out for the Goodyear blimp.
Anyone else having a good day?
Nothing happened today. It wasn't a bad day. Thus...making it a good day.
Mowed the grass and raked the leaves
But just got back from riding the bicycles to the local park and throwing Frisbee with the boy so that cancels out the yard work
Oh yeah, got an early birthday present from the wife, new motorcycle pants so even better day

They make pants out of motorcyles now? Sounds uncomfortable.
I visited the BMV ($195.50 - got three stickers, two cars and trailer. NT A QTRO is no longer being reregistered, which is sad but was going to happen sooner than later), Summit ($59.30 - got an exhaust collector, a new five gallon "liquid container" nudge nudge wink wink, and a length of 1.25" roll bar tubing as a dowel for the 9" housing alignment bushings I bought, so I can finally narrow my rearend for RX-7 fitment), and then I visited Micro Center, where I bought the absolute last pair of Inland headphones, which were discontinued a couple years back and are probably the best headphones ever made even before figuring cost. Which was $7. I bought a Red Bull there too, because why not.
And I visited my cars. Too cold to work on them, but I hung out with them a bit, and checked out the walls of the garage so I can figure what to do with them. I'm thinking Styrofoam insulation and dry erase board everywhere.
Posted this to facebook this morning. So yeah :)
I picked up the last component I needed to build my daughter's road bike, at the LBS. found that the LBS is having a moving sale this weekend so I bought a bike for my other daughter, who had outgrown her previous bike. So yeah, a good day. Tomorrow I'm gonna make a video doing a burnout in the budget M3 and post it up for captdownshift.
The high school bowling team that I coach beat last year's Vermont state Champs in the semi final round only to lose a tough match to the winner. Kids bowled lights out and almost pulled an upset. So proud of them. I'm spent.

I was at COTA today too. The blisters on my feet and sunburn were well worth it

Hopefully it wasn't your car??!?!!
Picked up a new steering wheel from the Miata. Almost cancels out the last 2 days spent fighting off the flu.
Yeah it was a good day at COTA.
Worked out at Turn 18 all day.
Met James Davison and Shea Halbrook.
Got some great pictures.
Got a nice break between races so I could get a run in around the outer ring road and got down to the Paddock for a bit around lunch to see all of the cars roll to the grid.
Then top it all, had BBQ and Beers with all my marshal friends.
Finished swapping all the racy stuff from the old Hayabusa motor to a newer one for the race car, got the chassis up on it's side and drilled out (literally) 250 5/32" pop rivets that hold the torn-up, Swiss cheesed bottom aluminum skin on, and went to see Slayer w/ Mrs. Motomoron. Solid day.
I made 60 lbs of Italian Sausage. I'd call that a good day.

Not for the Italian, it wasn't!
Put my race car on ebay. Re-strung and adjusted the truss rod on my guitar. Noodled on it for a couple hours. Went to visit my folks for dinner. Ate some excellent charcuterie. Any day this side of the dirt is a good day... but this one was not top 10 material by any stretch.
