Buying cars that way is really crazy. You are applauded for paying the most for something. More than anyone in attendance and anyone watching.
OK, it has a movie provenance but other than that what's so different about it that a million that wound up in the scrap yard didn't have?
I thought I noticed a trend this weekend that the announcers were not talking about. A lot of cars on Thursday and Friday didn't sell because the bids didn't get up to reserve. Many times the bids didn't seem to reach what even the paint job would have cost.
Always on Saturday night the stupid money comes out...
